  • Managing conflicts of interest in practice

    11 October 2016

As more CCGs move towards delegated responsibility for primary care commissioning, they need to understand how to manage potential conflicts of interest. North West Surrey CCG recently asked PCC to facilitate a seminar for the board in light of the revised guidance. The session allowed participants to explore the legal definitions of conflicts of interest and hospitality with the help of scenarios, and to consider the issues they are likely to face locally. To discuss how we can facilitate similar sessions for your organisation, contact sarah.turtle@pcc.nhs.uk

  • Developing your team

    4 October 2016

Health and care organisations are under pressure to form effective teams, whether to strengthen their own organisation or to work with others. Bringing together a team poses challenges for new provider organisations, commissioners and the wider collaborative ventures being set up to address the challenges of population health and integrated care.

PCC can support organisations explore ways of working for the future. We bring a unique combination of understanding of the policy issues and dynamics of the healthcare environment with experience and expertise in team development.

Alongside team learning we can facilitate progress in current work areas: developing a clear vision and action plan for future services, how the team works with others in the local sustainability and transformation plan (STP) footprint or manages decision making, as examples. For further information contact sarah.turtle@pcc.nhs.uk.
