Primary care webinar series gets under way

The second of PCC’s new webinar series takes place on Wednesday, looking at primary care premises issues with our expert Bill May. The webinars provide an opportunity for briefings on primary care contracting and related topics and are aimed particularly at PCC subscribers who struggle to get to face-to-face events.  The webinars, which are for PCC subscribers only, continue in the new year with patient list management (11 January) and premises abatements (18 January).  For information on how to subscribe to PCC support packages, which include the webinars, regional networks, event places and our adviser helpdesk contact sarah.jones@pcc.nhs.uk.

Carers are feeling the strain, says report

A report from the Social Market Foundation argues that current social care system is putting pressure on families to step in and provide care for relatives where the state does not. It finds that there are more women with caring responsibilities in the professional and managerial occupations; the number of hours of care that family carers provide is rising overall; and the more hours of care a person provides, the more likely they are to reduce their hours of work or exit the workforce altogether.
