Previous pharmaceutical services regulations and directions

This page lists some of the regulations and directions which relate to pharmaceutical services and which are no longer in force due to the taking effect of the NHS (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013 on 1 April 2013.

Carers are feeling the strain, says report

A report from the Social Market Foundation argues that current social care system is putting pressure on families to step in and provide care for relatives where the state does not. It finds that there are more women with caring responsibilities in the professional and managerial occupations; the number of hours of care that family carers provide is rising overall; and the more hours of care a person provides, the more likely they are to reduce their hours of work or exit the workforce altogether.
