Managing conflicts of interest in practice
As more CCGs move towards delegated responsibility for primary care commissioning, they need to understand how to manage potential conflicts of interest. North West Surrey CCG recently asked PCC to facilitate a seminar for the board in light of the revised guidance. The session allowed participants to explore the legal definitions of conflicts of interest and hospitality with the help of scenarios, and to consider the issues they are likely to face locally.
